I''m a young french architect. Design today is before everything to be over-contextual. I believe that is very important to have a more complex and essential position towards the architectonic intervention. This consideration of the existing architecture enriches the project and can make it stronger. The architect listen, observe and propose. Every project gives me a question. My job consists in looking inside the situation for the project paths that I will use, through its utilisations and its past. I look for the answers using the weaknesses of the site as strong points of the project. I believe in an architect who is the conductor, who proposes tools to better live the place. Its appropriation will be facilitated by the random side left to users and by the flexibility through time. The architect propose, he does not impose. |
